Allude - Andrea Karg - Paris Fashion Week - SS14

The Allude collection from Andrea Karg was made up almost entirely of cashmere. Opening with sandy cream loosely knitted jumpers, plaited and weaves artfully into intricate designs. The loose knitwear was extended with pommels of frayed, shaggy wool streaming from shoulders and necklines. The heavy cashmere theme allowed only a little scope for Spring/summer wear with delicate peeks of flesh, cut out backs and large straight cut arm holes baring the rib cage.
The second half of the collection left behind the shaggy knit and incorporated navy blue in jump suits, elegant jackets and high waisted pencil skirts and high neck, short sleeves crop tops.

The collection showed the versatility of cashmere and showed a battle between structure and texture utilising a traditionally soft but protective material.
