Moda Lisboa – 9th March 2012 - Dino Alves

The show begins with models climbing a podium in white, loose shift dresses as a light projection plays across the garment to gorgeous effect. Featuring velvet in a strong current trend the wide, structured dresses continue with rounded shoulders and large pockets, accessorised with elbow length leather gloves. Layered, 2-in-1 caped dresses hug the form delicately providing a feminine silhouette while the simple designs and large functional pockets add a utilitarian edge.
The prints begin with a black and white smoke print that is bold and paired with grey and flashes of red before colour begins with bold florals that have a layered gold foil image added. Print outfits feature black sheer overlying layered flaps with rounded corners that follow on nicely from the pocket details.
Mens tailoring is sharp – bibbed shirts, vest jumpers and the used of faded dip dye in a basic monochrome palette which occasionally has a flash of magenta and orange added.
