British Fashion Awards 2011

On Monday 30th November 2011 the British Fashion Awards were held in London at The Savoy Hotel. Fashionistas and celebrities turned out in their droves to the event including Samantha Cameron, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Olivia Palermo, Marc Jacobs and Alexa Chung. The event was hosted by celeb presenter George Lamb and DJ and presenter Lauren Laverne.

Although there were a few shock wins (e.g a rather suspicious Victoria Beckham for Designer Brand Award) there were so many deserving winners and its great to see UK fashion being so well represented!

However, the Red Carpet still must be discected.

Abby Clancy looked very chic in this gold gown but it seemed a little creased... not quite the right fit dear?

Alexa Chung, winner of The British Style Award of course looked beautifully stylish in a cute embellished 60's style mini.

Amber Le Bon's dress looked like she stepped out of a futuristic chewing gum advert... with that awful severe hair! Not a fan.

Obiously we all love Al McQueen's heir to the fashion throne but I felt she looked slightly underdressed for the occasion?
I'd wear it... but I have a whole multitude of sins to hide.

Stella McCartney rocked her own jumpsuit, of course.

Model Stella Tennant was working the androgynous look in a tux style suit.
I love the cheeky, peeking chest and low hanging necklace.
Hate the hair but with that face, she gets away with it!

New mum Victoria Beckham picked up an award for her clothing brand which has started to become popular recently. How she fitted a baby into her sceletal frame for 9 months I will never understand. Looking elegant and chic as ever - plus NO TROUT POUT!

Charlotte Dellal displayed maybe slightly too much cleavage is this festive sparkly outfit (Would have happily sat next to her however...).
Loved the red tights and shoes!

Ohh... Christopher Kanes such a cute looking lad isnt he?
Loved the scruffy, turn up jeans and shoes mix.... Playing it casual.

Tali Lennox pulled off this foil, unforgiving gown that could have looked totally hideous.

  Colin Firth and Livia Giuggioli
Awwww.... Such cuties. Love the caping detail on that sea green gown. Vaaaary sophisticated.
Did some one hire a Lady Gaga look alike?
Daphne Guiness. What can be said?

Good ol' Sam Cam.... she looked chic and very well put together on the red carpet. Love those shoes!

I'm sure this dress has been a little bit overworn since it was on the runway at LFW? Or Maybe because its almost identical to that other over worn number....  Anyway I felt that Poppy Delevigne probably should have bothered getting her hair done before jumping into this dress and nipping down to the awards.

Olivia Palmero - I know she's meant to be a massive style icon but this dress is fucking hideous. She looks like a  native american, yeti on a skiing holiday in the Alps!

Kelly Brook working 'grecian' goddess and showing quite enough leg thank you. Loved the little gold accessory touches and subtle white embellishment.

Kate Moss looked a touch fishy... This is what I imagine Courtney Love would look like if she was caught in a fishing net in the 90's.

Laura Baileys casual outfit worked really nicely and was a refreshing change on the red carpet. But FUCK, someone needs to feed this girl a cake!

Kate Hudson.... I'm sorry... the scraped back hair the unflattering, over tight dress. This was so not hot.

Georgia Jaggers 1920's vintage style dress was a perfect balance between glitz and chic.

Last but not least... Hayley Atwell looks like she fell through her grannys curtains straight into a Jane Norman summer sale rail.

I have recently decided to be less bitchy about people's outfits as I look like crap... a lot. But as you can doubtless tell I ran out of 'nice' steam halfway through. That and some of these dresses are fucking hideous.
