On Aura Tut Vu

This show began with a student show – mainly menswear. The pre-show lasted too long and the collections were very samey with a few exceptions where designers took it to the next level of ridiculous, designing skirts and leggings for men. No thank you – my gaydars broken as it is.
Pics of the menswear :
Sheer panels to hide the 'average-ness'

Hansel and Gretal alpine chic

Lots of utilitarian layers and exposed zips

Contrast colours, onzies and other hideous elements.

Dip dye, pop colours, draping and assymetrics.

Fossilised fish print, girly jeans and lots of soft light jersey.

Chunky knit, rough wool and ankle swingers

Chess, dip dye, colour pop and... De Ja Vu.

On Aura Tut Vu, a special guest designer, began impressively and the show was very ornate featuring gorgeous black lace jumpsuits, crystals, sheer maxi dresses and impossibly intricate beading (a whole dress of beads.. seriously!).
High, structured collar, antique print, metalic ruffles, oriental elements

Loves these lace trousers and the stunning use of fur.

Another gorgeous edgy jacket - check out the cute little elephant bag!

Again, loving the use of fur. Eyelash lace edging adds a touch of underwear to the outerwear.

HATED the Claires Accessories styling with the devil horns and trident but loved the jumpsuit and the gorgeous tux style waistcoat adding a little formality to the proceedings...

Great use of fur again and I love the disco ball bag!

I believe this dress was made entirely of tiny pearl colour beads.

I thought this feathered Prom dress was such a fabulous idea. Using feathers to fan out a skirt over nettng! The back had a feather bustle as well. Shake those tail feathers.

The feathered half cape was a mixture of brown and black feathers and looked as though the model was wearing an entire dead bird. I loved the primal feeling the feathers relayed.

These feathers were made out of metal and spangled with crystals and studs. The feathers match the feather patterened shoes.

This dresses seams are made of overlaid images of angels and is a great look how ever I was not a fan of some of the fabrics that are starting to be used here.

These gorgeous grecian maxi dresses added mainstream to the collection with stunning effect. So elagant!

I think this may have been a dig at the english - the wedding march blared and remixed while this creation stumbled down the runway.
The collection is mainly unwearable but so gorgeous and pleasing on the eye! More soon - I am so tired!
